You're probably wondering what Sláinte means and how to pronounce it. Sláinte is a traditional Irish toast that literally translates as health, but is spoken in place of cheers when raising a glass with friends. The pronunciation can vary depending on the region of Ireland, but the most common way of pronouncing it is slawn-cha.
At Sláinte we're all about the Craic, the Irish expression for a good time. Sláinte was created by its owners as a place where family and friends could enjoy great Irish food, drinks, and lively conversation in a truly authentic Irish pub setting with friendly and efficient service. For entertainment, we have live music five to seven nights a week varying from Irish and Celtic rock to alternative, blues, and contemporary Americana. We also showcase various guest bands.
The Sláinte family wants all our guests to partake in and enjoy the light-hearted authentic atmosphere. We invite you to experience the pub's wonderful craftsmanship and bric-a-brac that harken back to a timeless age of splendor. We hope you get a laugh from our tongue-in-cheek Irish sayings which are liberally scattered around the pub. Let us know which one is your favorite, or feel free to suggest one of your own. Sláinte has a private room called the “Green Screen Room” which is named in honor of the many Irish greats of stage, screen and quill. The Green Screen Room has its own fully stocked bar, a big screen television and dedicated wait-staff. Please ask your server or bartender for details abut renting the room for private functions.
Sláinte has 12 flat-screen televisions (with surround sound) throughout the pub which will broadcast all MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, NASCAR and collegiate games; as well as English Premier League Soccer, International Soccer, Rugby and Gaelic football games.
